Aidsfonds - Soa Aids Nederland is working towards a world where no one dies of AIDS anymore and where people are sexually healthy, so that everyone can love freely and without fear. We do this together with the people who are hardest hit by STIs and HIV because of discrimination and exclusion. We strengthen their voice and support them with information, knowledge, and financing. The International Department is responsible for funding community-led action to increase access to health and rights and conducting global advocacy towards these aims. We focus on communities of populations living with or affected by HIV (including LGBTIQ+ people, sex workers, people who use drugs, youth, women, and children) in ten countries and two regions worldwide.

Love Alliance Partnership Coordinator

(36 hours per week)

What does the team do and what are you going to do

The Love Alliance | Aidsfonds.org (2021-2025) brings together organizations led by communities most affected by HIV and AIDS. From across Africa thought leaders (GALZ, SANPUD, Sisonke), grant-makers (UHAI EASHRI, AFE, ISDAO) and the global network of people living with HIV (GNP+) have joined forces. The Love Alliance aims to improve the sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) of PWUD, LGBTIQ people and sex workers, including advocating against gender inequality and other forms of inequity, injustices, and criminalization; demanding equity and inclusion in access to health and justice, including comprehensive SRHR and HIV services for all.

Aidsfonds is the administrative lead of the Love Alliance and coordinates the administration of the alliance, including monitoring the progress of the implementation of the full programme proposal, financial management, and reporting to our donor the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).

Requirements & experience

• Coordinate the administrative support to the alliance in implementing the full programme proposal in close collaboration with the administrative team members, including the annual monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning cycle
• Coordinate the interaction and flow of information between the Strategic Board, the Activists Advisory Committee, and the administrative lead
• Preparing Strategic Board meetings in close collaboration with the external facilitators and Board members
• Liaise on behalf of the administrative lead and partnership with the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs
• Act as a spokesperson on behalf of the Love Alliance
• Further develop Love Alliance as a platform to further fundraising, financial sponsorships, and grants for key populations programming
• Initiate and encourages knowledge (development) inside and outside the organization and partnership

• a salary in scale 12 that lies between € 4.177 and € 6.189 gross per month (for 36 hours), grading takes place depending on your experience

• hybrid working: You will work at our office in Amsterdam (Sloterdijk) and/or partly from home. There is also the possibility of flexible working hours and setting your own agenda
• NS business card for all public transport for your commute to work
• you have 208 hours of leave on a full-time basis (36 hours) and you can buy extra leave via the IKB
• a personal development budget of € 650 per year based on a 36 hours working week

You are

A person that considers issues from different perspectives and in doing so establishes connections with the communities we work with: people living with HIV, young people, children, LGBTQ+, current and former sex workers, current and former drug users, because you can draw on your own experience or have had close encounters with members of these communities. And you have

• Knowledge of HIV/AIDS, the international playing field, and of the specific issues facing key populations
• Knowledge of people management, project and financial management, negotiations and facilitating decision making
• Proven record of accomplishment on partnership management and affinity with key populations
• Naturally works in a collaborative way, based on the principles of servant leadership and able to problem solve and escalate issues for resolution
• Not afraid of difficult conversations based on mutual accountability
• Flexible, creative, independent, communicative as competencies
• Academic study level
• You are fluent in English communication skills, able (or willing to learn) to read and understand. Dutch. Communication skills in Portuguese would be appreciated
• You are based in the Netherlands or willing to relocate
